Charles A. McDonald
1931-2016
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday,
November 17, 2016, of Mr. Charles A. McDonald of Allisary, PE, age 85
years. Born in Mount Stewart, he was a son of the late Charles and
Mary (nee Boyd) McDonald.
Dear brother of Sandra Coffin (Mervin – deceased). Charles is
survived by his nieces and nephews Tommy MacDonald
(Calgary,AB), John Allan MacDonald (Charlottetown, PE), Charlie
MacDonald (Cornwall, PE), Lorraine MacDonald-Gallant (Cornwall, PE),
Terry MacDonald (Charlottetown, PE), Terry Coffin (Ontario), Ian
Coffin (Ontario), Eric Coffin (Vancouver, BC), Sandra Grant-Black (New
Brunswick), Barry Grant (Fredericton, NB), John Grant (Fredericton,
NB), Margaret Ann Grant-McGivney (New Brunswick), John MacIntosh
(Montreal, QC), Malcolm MacIntosh (Vancouver, BC), Ann
MacIntosh-Edison (Quebec), Allison MacIntosh-Hastings (Quebec), Craig
MacDonald (Toronto, ON) and Laura MacDonald-Lynch (Toronto,
ON); as well as numerous grand nieces and grand
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Allan
(Mary), Donald, John and Wilfred (Patricia); sisters Alice (Malcolm)
MacIntosh and Margaret (Earl) Grant.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home
until Tuesday, then transferred to St. Andrew’s Church,
Mount Stewart for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in
the St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9
p.m.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Charles
may be made to the QEH Foundation or the St. Andrew’s Church
Cemetery.
