Obituary for Catherine Joyce Tallon (Hosick)
TALLON, Catherine Joyce ‘Cathy’ – Passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Cathy Hosick, in her 62nd year, was the loving mother of Kyle Tallon, and Amanda Tallon. She was the cherished sister of Randy Hosick (Michelle), Sandy Trites, Stevie Hosick (Christine), Rod Hosick (Johanna), Danny Hosick (Valerie), Sheila Phillips (Pete), Linda Robertshaw (Bill), Maureen Hibbert (Frank), Ned Hosick (the late Sandy); she was predeceased by her sisters Eileen Burdeney (survived by Vlad Piperski), and Marilyn Eyers, and her brother Al Hosick (survived by Shelby). Cathy will be remembered always by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As a teacher at Leslie Frost Public School, she dedicated her career to French Immersion and was proud to watch her students succeed. Visitation will be at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. If desired memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
