Bruce Edwin Marlin, born in Wolseley Saskatchewan, 1 April, 1926, passed away peacefully, Christmas morning, 2017. Bruce was pre-deceased by his wife, Mildred, of nearly 70 years, his son, Gary, four siblings, Les, Ken, Marjorie and Carol. He leaves behind his two daughters, Donna and Carol (John), his brother Wayne and sister Evelyn. His six grandchildren, Sarah, Sheila, Mark, Rhonda, Sheri and Matthew will always remember their Grampa Bruce. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Damon, Cameryn, Mason, Malori, Noah, Ryker, Kinley and Rielle.
Bruce led a full life. It all started growing up on the farm in Wolseley, Sk. It was there, in school, where he met Mildred. Bruce served in the Canadian Infantry during the Second World War. He then worked for over 40 years for CP Rail. During his working life, his pastimes included golfing, curling and riding his snow machines with friends. Bruce was an active member of the Masons, Shriners and Eastern Star. After retirement, Bruce enjoyed over 20 years in the winter sun in Arizona, getting a chance to work full time at golf. He loved to sing and was always a strong voice in choirs, wherever he lived. He valued the friendships he made along the way. His final home in Winnipeg was at the Waverley where he had a great group of friends who shared much friendship and love for him.
The family gives thanks for the caring and love given to Bruce over these last weeks and months and there will be a private family gathering for his funeral.
