Obituary It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Brian MacDonald Hinds of the city of St. Albert, Alberta on Wednesday August 19th, 2015 at the age of 74. Brian is survived by his wife and life’s partner of 45 years, Alice Hinds; his sister Sheila (Charlie); and sister-in-laws, Lil and Sandra. He will be remembered by nieces Patti, Kathy, Barb (Chris), Stephanie (Jeff), and Sarah (Colin); nephews, Phillip (Cassandra) and Jonathan; great nieces Cassandra, Erika, Savannah, Marley, and Maya; and great nephews Duncan (Lori), Ian (Alison), Alexander (Chelsea), Shea, Teagan and Niklas. He will be missed by special friend Stanley; cousin Carol; as well as numerous Hinds and MacDonald cousins; extended family; friends; and canine companion, Coco. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Christine; brothers Frank, Phillip, Doug; sister Charlene; sister-in-law Ann; and brother-in-law Jim. He cherished memories of pets Scamp, Sam, and Quasar. Brian received his diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal College in Calgary and his BSc. in Business Administration from the University of California in Los Angeles. In 1980 he established his own business, Potomac Investments from which he retired in 2014. He enjoyed golf, fishing, skiing, curling and the stock market. A Celebration of Life will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the name of Brian to the SPCA, 10806 124 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H3 and Alberta Lung Association, P.O. Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, Alberta T6E 6K2. The family wishes to spend a special thank you to the staff at the Sturgeon General Hospital. Your care and support for Brian will always be remembered.
