Jerry Joseph William “Bill” Haskell passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday November 9, 2017. Bill was born in Chatham 83 years ago to the late Douglas & Fern (Tasker) Haskell and was raised in the Merlin area. He and his late wife Shirley raised four children; Kim Lindsay (Bob), Kenneth Haskell (Carolyn) and the late Rick Haskell (survived by Deb) and Cindy Morrison (survived by Ken). He was one of six children and is survived by Marilyn Whittal, Sherry Lloyd and Jack Haskell. Predeceased by Harlow and Jimmy Haskell. Bill will be missed by all of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild as well as his friends Noreen and Lynn.
A truck driver by trade, Bill spent many years in Florida. He enjoyed camping and hunting moose.
Family and friends are invited to the Blenheim Community Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Thursday November 16, 2017 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Cremation will follow with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Friends wishing to remember Bill with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
