Bill Burzuik
March 10, 1944 – December 21, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family announces Bill’s passing after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years Maureen; brother-in-law Marshall (Karen); sister-in-law Barb (Don); nieces Lesley Dawn, Kristin (Thomas), Robyn, Lyndsay (James), and Kelsey; great nieces and nephews Alyssa, Kael, Bentley, Riley and Taylor.
Bill was predeceased by his father and mother Nick and Mary and his brother Mike.
Bill was born and raised in Selkirk, left for a short period to visit B.C., when he returned he met and married the love of his life and settled in Selkirk. He worked at many jobs over the years but spent the majority of his days at the Manitoba Rolling Mills. His leisure time was spent listening to CDs, strumming his guitar, tinkering/polishing his vehicles and helping his family with the numerous tasks that no one could complete “without Bill” to read the instructions. After he retired he also spent his time with his friends at the senior center, playing crib, playing pool and playing Bingo.
At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place and no funeral or memorial service will be held.
