After a long hard fought battle with cancer, Betty passed away at Selkirk General Hospital with husband Wayne and friends at her side.
Betty was born at Carberry, Manitoba on February 28, 1950. She lived on the farm at Austin until moving to Winnipeg after she graduated from school. She joined the Manitoba Telephones. She enjoyed being up north a lot.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald in 1947, her mother Alice in 1959 and her father Roy in 2010. She is survived by her loving husband Wayne, her brother Ross Storie (Carmen), niece Halley, her sister Terry Sperle (Dwayne), niece Brianna Sawyer, nephews Everett and Ethan, and her stepmother Gwen Storie.
Betty made many close friends at work and at the Beaches area where she lived and played. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of Cancer Care HSC and the Selkirk Hospital Chemotherapy group and Emergency.
