BRIGGS (Bonang), Betty Jean, age 66 of Waverley, passed away on February 8, 2017 in the VG Site, QEII, Palliative Care Unit, due to complications of lung cancer.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Barbara Bonang.
Betty served a full career with the Canada Revenue Agency before retiring. She enjoyed puttering around in her gardens at home and vacationing at the cottage.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David; son Blake (Caroline) Keizer; step-daughter Tonya Clark; sisters, Melva, Cathy; and brother Raymond and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life reception will be held from 1-3pm on Wednesday February 15th, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
