Bertha Florence Belcourt

Obituary Bertha was born the youngest daughter of Norbert and Madeline L’Hirondelle. Bertha was 96 years young. Mourning her loss are her grandchildren Nadine (John) Sargeant, Herbert Jr. Bell, Jack (Angela) Bell and Karen (Patrick) Koch; great-grandchildren, Isaac Bell, Dorian Moret and Alexa Koch; step-great-grandchildren, Ian (Jen) Denholm and Jodi (Linda) Denholm; step-great-great-grandchildren Brycen Denholm and Paisley Denholm; one sister, Mathilda (Tillie) Bradford. Bertha was predeceased by her parents; six brothers and three sisters; husbands, Arthur Bell and Stanley Belcourt; son, Herbert Clifford Bell; daughter, Noreen Anne White; and grandson John Bell. Bertha also leaves many nieces and nephews who will miss her quick humour and wit. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 8:30 pm at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 St., Edmonton. Rev. Jim Holland, OMI will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, 10821 – 96 St., Edmonton on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Bertha will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
