Bernard Keith Dolan 1924 – 2016

DOLAN, Bernard Keith – February 27, 1924 – July 19, 2016. Mr. B. Keith Dolan peacefully, with his wife by his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 19, 2016; Retired Purchasing Manager at Domtar, Veteran WWII – RAF. For over 50 years Keith was the beloved husband and best friend of Hannah Dolan (Schiller). He was the loving father of Nancy Hermiston (Bob) of St. Catharines, ON; Debra Dolan (Mike Frizell) of Vancouver, BC; Christine Larin (Mark) of Newington, ON; David Dolan (Akiko Nishibori) of Long Sault, ON/Japan; and James Dolan (Heather) of Cornwall, ON. Keith was a supportive and caring brother-in-law to Horst Schiller of Cornwall, ON, and Dieter Schiller (Ed Elnak) of Vancouver, BC. He will be missed by his 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Keith had been predeceased by his first wife Gertrude Langstaff (1962) and their daughters Lynn Boese (2002) and Heather Dolan (2010) both of Bracebridge, ON; his father, Jeremiah Dolan; his mother, Christina Dolan (MacMillan); brother, Ken Dolan of Calgary, AB and sister, Audrey Traquair of Regina, SK. As per Keith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends will take place at the Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall on Friday, July 29th, 2016, from 7-9 PM. A private committal service will be held at a later point in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
