Bernard E. LeBlanc
Bernard E. LeBlanc, 78, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Born in Moncton,
he was the son of the late Patrick and Anita (Boudreau) LeBlanc.
Bernie was a retired mail clerk at Canada Employment
& Immigration with 29 years’ service. Known as the
« Washer Toss Guy » on Gorge Road, he enjoyed
woodworking, playing cards and socializing with his friends and
family. Bernie had a great love and passion for his camp and in later
years, the cottage in Grande Digue, where they welcomed many visitors
and family reunions were a common occurrence.
Bernie will be sadly missed by his daughter, Michele LeBlanc
of Moncton; son, Dana (Thérèse) of Dieppe;
grandchildren, Matthew (Robin), Joshua (Denise), Justin (Melissa),
Nick and Mathieu; great grandchildren, Silas, Sierra and Michael; as
well as several nieces and nephews. Also survived by daughter-in-law,
Katherine and brother-in-law, Eddie.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife,
Helen (Matthews) LeBlanc (December 2015) and son, Michael
« Mike » LeBlanc (November 2015); sister, Betty and
brothers, Kenneth and Leslie.
In keeping with Bernie’s wishes, there will be no
funeral service. A gathering for sharing of memories and to celebrate
Bernie’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00
pm. Interment will be in Horsman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of The Moncton
Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the
