Barry Stenton age 74 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away on October 14, 2016 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Victoria, British Columbia and was the son of Frank and Hilda Stenton. When Barry wasn’t reading maps and forecasting weather he could be found on the putting green (likely cause it was a hole in one). He was an avid builder and loved reaping the beauty and nourishment of his spectacular gardens that he and Iris put so many hours into – work wasn’t work as long as Iris was by his side. He found peace and tranquility among the foliage and he and his furry friends spent many hours wrapped in this beauty. The magnificence of our earthly world did not go unnoticed, but Barry also recognized the power of the unknown – someday you can read about it in his book to be published. Barry will teach us more, but for now he has some treats to indulge in. Barry is survived by his wife Iris Stenton, daughters Stephanie Stenton and Vanessa Margueratt, brother Don Stenton (and wife Erica), grandchildren Andras and Kurt Margueratt and son-in-law Sean Margueratt. Visitation will be held from 1-3pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm on October 16, 2016 at the Atlantic Funeral Homes – Dartmouth Chapel
