Barbara Mackay (Macfarlane) Clark 20 May 1935 – 6 April 2015 Barbara died peacefully on Easter Monday at Kingston General Hospital with family by her side. Beloved wife of Douglas Hawley Clark, CD, Major RCA (Ret’d). Special mother to Robert (Emily), Richard, Steven (Debbie) and Heather Medwick (Jeff). Sister to Nancy Tolusso (Claudio), Margaret Fossen, James Macfarlane (Margaret), all of Winnipeg. Much loved Gran to Spencer and William Medwick of Winnipeg, Sara Clark of Melbourne AU and Michael Clark of Ottawa. Dear Aunt to Kathy and Jim Fossen (Charlene), Sandra and David Tolusso (Amy), and Christine McGregor (Doug). She fought a great fight against heart failure and pulmonary hypertension without one complaint. Special thanks to Dr McCans and his clinic, (Patti and Wendy) who coordinated her treatment with Dr Gazendam and Dr D’Arsigny, all of who were available and went above and beyond to try to get her to her 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary this year. The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street), Kingston on Friday from 3pm-5pm. A memorial service to honour Barbara’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 1pm with reception following. In Barbara’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated, or you might buy yourself a bunch of flowers and enjoy them the way Barbara always did.
