Anna (Anne) Lucy Warren
1922-2017
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Anna (Anne)
Lucy Warren of Fredericton N.B., who passed away March 28th, 2017 at
the age of 94. Anne is survived by her daughters, Louise (Rick) Emery
of Kelowna B.C. and Joan (Sid Richdale) Warren of Halifax, N.S. She
was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert William
(Bill) Warren, and her eldest daughter Patricia Anne
Richardson.
Anne’s rich and adventurous life started in Barry’s Bay
Ontario. She graduated from Teacher’s College and taught in Toronto
but quickly left to teach in small communities in northern Ontario,
where she married Bill. They eventually settled in Fredericton along
with their 3 daughters. Anne loved skiing, curling, skating, and
refinishing antiques. The cottage on Oromocto Lake was her favourite
place where she and Bill spent many happy summers canoeing, watching
the geese and the loons and relaxing. They enjoyed spending part of
their winter in California. Anne will be remembered for her fabulous
baking, her sense of humour and adventure, her generosity and
thoughtfulness.
The family wishes to thank Wellness and all those at Ste
Anne’s Court who made Anne’s final years comfortable and
happy.
At Anne’s request, a memorial mass will be celebrated at St.
Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at 2 pm with
Father Bill Brennan as celebrant. A reception will follow in the
Monsignor Boyd Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
