In Loving Memory
TASOULIS, ANASTASIA “Tassia”
After courageously fighting a long battle with cancer Tassia passed away and was reunited with her son, Gus, on November 18, 2017 at the age of 66. She immigrated to Canada from Kandyla, Greece with her family in 1959 and was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Konstandinos Deligiannis. Being the oldest of 3, Tassia would often fill the roll of sister, guardian and mentor. This a role she continued with her own family; a loving wife to her husband, Spyros Tasoulis. Cherished mother of Aristidis (Mélanie), Konstantinos and Nancy Tasoulis (Matt Woolgar). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Efthemia, Sophia, Faith and Nikos. Tassia will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Doulas (George) and brother Tony Deligiannis. She was a cherished aunt to Paris (Stephen Murano), Margo Doulas (Evangelia), Dimitri Doulas and great aunt to Mario. Tassia’s loving legacy continues to grow within the hearts of her grandchildren as well as her family and the friends she made throughout her life. She was a strong woman role model who exuded confidence and strength. The moments people had with her left them feeling empowered.
The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, « The Chapel on the Corner », 309 Johnson Street, Kingston on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Father Matthew commencing prayers at 8pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Koimisis Tis Theotokou (Orthodox Church), 121 Johnson Street, on Thursday November 23, 2017 at 11am. Interment following at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ottawa General Hospital-Lung Cancer Research or the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation would be appreciated.
One of Tassia requests to family and friends was that they honour her memory and know that she would not want them to remain sad, but to rejoice in her memory. Online condolences may be made at: www.reidfuneralhome.com
