Always in Our Hearts
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Amanda Rae Melnyk on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Regina, SK at the age of 38 years.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Alfie and Dot Melnyk and Judy and Author Meyers. Amanda is survived by her common-law husband Chad Swinimer; children Neveah, age 12 and Jaxon, age one; parents Linda and Craig Melnyk of Lumsden, SK; older brother Chad (Kim) Melnyk and their son Elijah of Surrey, BC; as well as aunties, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
She was born in Regina and lived in BC with her parents from 1989 until returning in 2011.
Amanda’s smile and sense of humour lit up the room, no matter where she went. She cherished time with family, friends and co-workers – always chatting it up with a merry twinkle in her bright blue eyes. Amanda especially enjoyed her time on maternity leave and recent trip visiting the east coast.
Her other passions included Facebook, caring for animals, motorcycling, fishing, writing poetry, singing and eating homemade cabbage rolls. She had a strong love of Harrison, BC where she spent many weekends and vacations. Family was incredibly important to her and she loved family get togethers.
Amanda is gone too soon and will be forever loved and missed.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Living Hope Alliance Church, 3900 Arcola Avenue East, Regina, SK on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Amanda may be made to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
