MAITLAND, Alison Elizabeth – Alison Elizabeth Maitland – December 20, 1917 – May 21, 2017. Dear, Sweet Alison arrived in Canada at the age of four after travelling across the Atlantic with her grandmother. They were joined more than a year later by her parents, and the family settled in the Brockville area. Despite the hardships of the Great Depression and later WWII, Alison flourished, growing into a beautiful, confident young woman, ready to take on the world.
