Albert Reid
1936-2017
CLAIRVILLE, NB – It is with great sadness the
family announces the peaceful passing of Albert Reid, 80 of
Clairville, NB on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Beersville, he was the
son of the late Robert Reid and late Ruth (McNairn) Reid.
Before retiring, Albert was employed as a heavy equipment operator and
foreman at Modern Construction and Carson’s Construction for
many years.
Albert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 56 years,
Margaret (Ferguson) Reid of Clairville; one daughter, Kathy Baisley
(Peter) of Irishtown; two sons, Greg Reid (Barb) of Rexton, Mike Reid
(Nicole) of Clairville; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kaitlin, Karlee,
Amy, Jade and one great granddaughter, Lexie.
He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Little (late
Courtney) of Clairville, Brenda Reid (Gary) of Clairville; one
brother, Ralph Reid (Heather) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Myrna Wry
(late Clyde) of Rexton and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers,
Warren and Ronnie (1965).
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A
celebration of Albert’s life will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto on
Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Paul
Leger. Donations in Albert’s memory may be made to
St. Matthew’s United Cemetery Fund in Clairville.
Special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Stella Maris
Hospital for all their kindness and care given to Albert.
