It is with heavy hearts the family of Gail Debra Gianakos announces her passing on Friday December 22, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1954 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Shirley (Arsenault) Logan.
Gail worked as a short order cook and was a long time, valued employee of Steve’s Fish and Chips. She loved the outdoors, riding a motorcycle with Jeff or camping and sitting around a bonfire; she was happiest outdoors and loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jeffrey Gianakos; daughters Brenda (France) Vienneau, Natasha (Kris) Lynch, Amanda (Wayne) Lynch and Crystal (Kirk) Winters; grandchildren Marrissia, Erica, Leea, Chelsea, Ryan, Riley, Kayden and Carly; brothers Gordon (Mayanne) Logan; sisters Shirley Ann McCann and Bonnie Logan; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Bruce and Gary Logan and sister-in-law Diane.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. By request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation charity of one’s choice. Gail’s hope was that more people would consider organ donation.
