Jeanne Mary Doiron
Jeanne M. Doiron, 67, of Moncton,
passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University
Hospital Centre on Friday, December 22, 2017.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter
of the late Catherine and Henry Bastarache. Jeanne was a personal
support worker in various care homes. She enjoyed drawing, going for
walks and going for coffee dates with her sisters. Jeanne was a member
of the Welcoming Committee at Peoples Park Tower and various seniors
groups at The Moncton Wesleyan Church. She was a collector of tea pots
and Princess Diana memorabilia.
Jeanne will be sadly missed by her
son, Michael Kenny (Tara) of Moncton; sisters, Lorraine Melanson
(Roger), Doris Gallant (Leo Paul) and Stella Surette (Omer); brothers,
John Bastarache (Sandy), Albert Bastarache (Charlene) and George
Bastarache, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family
members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
sister, Irene Bastarache.
The family would like to thank the
doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr.
Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital for the excellent care given to
Jeanne during her stay.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00
pm. A Service to celebrate and honor Jeanne’s life will be
held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2017
at 10:30 am with Pastor David Way officiating. Reception in the
Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be
in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the
spring.
