HENDRICKS, Minnie Bernice (Peake) Born in Campbellford October 30, 1923 Min passed away in her 94th year on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017. Min was born and grew up in Campbellford and was married to Bill Hendricks (deceased 1988), mother to her two sons, Thomas (Tom) of Omemee Ont., and Bill (Peggy) of Langley BC. Grandmother to Jodi, Suzy as well as to Jamie and Chad, and eight great grandchildren. When she and Bill moved the family to Cornwall Ontario in 1959, Min worked as the “House… Read More » Mother” at the nursing school at Cornwall General Hospital for several years, then became a ward clerk in the hospital working on 3rd South till her retirement. They enjoyed activities with the Navy Vets Club and all their special getaways to Lake Placid NY and travels to BC to visit family and grandchildren. In 2008 Min moved to Sandfield Place in Cornwall and lived there till April 2016. She then moved back to Campbellford residing at Island Park Retirement Home. Min will be sadly missed by all her family and friends in Ontario and British Columbia. The family will receive friends at the WEAVER Life Centre, 77 Second St., Campbellford on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 from 1-2p.m. with service to follow in the chapel at 2p.m. Pastor Lionel Pye officiating. Spring interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Bridge Hospice (137 Old Hastings Rd., Warkworth, ON K0K 3K0) would be appreciated by the family.
