Ann Delores LeGresley 1939-2017
Ann (Pallen) LeGresley, wife of the late Paul LeGresley of Chatham Head, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at the age of 78. Born in Newcastle, NB, Ann was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Sarah “Sadie” Pallen. Ann was a homemaker. Ann is survived by six daughters: Cynthia Legere (Danny) of Memramcook, NB, Sharon Asoyuf (Charles) of Newcastle, NB, Elaine Allen (Mike) of CI Road, NB, Karen LeGresley (Bob Levesque) of Newcastle, NB, Kim LeGresley (Wayne McIntosh) of Conn, ON and Paula McDougall (Richard) of Plaster Rock, NB;four sons:Dougie (Jeanneda) of Neguac, NB, Nicky (Laura Storey) of Fredericton, NB, Darrin (Stephanie) of Newcastle, NB and David (Karen) of Chatham, NB; one sister: Marjorie Ryan (Late John) of Salisbury, NB; one brother: Wayne Pallen (Karen) of Moncton, NB; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Ann is predeceased by her parents; her husband Paul; two sisters: Carmel and Mary and one brother: Nick Jr. Visitation was held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Wednesday, November 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head on Thursday, November 16th at 11 AM with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating. Music for the mass was provided by Carmel MacTavish and Lynn Doyle. A special music recording of “High on the Mountain” sang by the Late Paul LesGresley was played. Readings were given by Karen LeGresley (daughter in law) and Thomas LeGresley (grandson). A eulogy was shared by Daniel Legere (son in law). Active pallbearers were grandchildren: Jillian LeGresley, Douglas LeGresley, Derrick LeGresley, Jordan McDougall, Tyler McDougall, Michelle Legere, Jeremy McIntyre and John Asoyuf. Honorary pallbearers were: grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial took place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in Ann’s memory, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program.
