Obituary for Normand Joly
It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing surrounded by loved one at the Golden Manor on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Dumont). Loving father of Ronald Joly of Namibia, Donald Joly of North Bay, Late Alfred Joly of Vancouver BC, Dean Joly (Sylvie) of Timmins and Pierre Joly of Timmins. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear brother of Richard Joly (Debb) of Kamloops BC, Raymond Joly of Timmins, Gail Brown (Rick) of Timmins, Diane Tremblay (Gary) of Timmins, Carmen Caron of Timmins, Roger Joly of Toronto and Claire Joly of Winnipeg MB. Also survived by his brother and sisters-in-law Lucille Larson, Glenda Joly and Jacques Trudel. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Omer and Hosanna Joly and his siblings Robert, Edgar, Alfred, Yvon, Yvette Joly, Lucille Bastarache, Therese Trudel and his brother-in-law Denis Caron. Normand loved nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed antiques. He was known to tease his buddies from work and loved to laugh. He worked for many years as a mason and a cement finisher with Kidd Creek. He build many foundations for basements and chimneys in Timmins. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Golden Manor and Dr. Julie Auger for taking such good care of Normand.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Church. Cremation will follow. Remembrance donations to a Golden Manor or Charity of choice would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the
