Obituary for Patrick Murphy
MURPHY, Patrick Joseph Emilien
August 25, 1940 – October 28, 2017
Patrick Murphy passed away following a recent battle with respiratory and cardiovascular illnesses. He was a kind, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannine (née Labbé), as well as his three children, René (Dana Fox) of White Rock, NS, Carole, and Stéphan, both of Timmins. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alain Gaudet, Valérie Gaudet, Ryan Murphy, Byron Murphy, Alex Engley-Murphy, Thomas Murphy, and Adam Murphy along with his great grandchildren Lilianna Murphy and Payton Gaudet. Patrick is survived by a brother, Don (Kelowna B.C.) and a sister, Evelyn (Timmins) and by numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Léon Murphy and Elizabeth (née Landry), by his brother Jim and sisters Dora, Lilianne and Pauline.
Patrick was a family man who put the needs of others ahead of his own. He was an outdoor enthusiast and imparted that love to his family. He spent countless hours in the woods in northern Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 1- 3 pm in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. Cremation services have been entrusted to
