Obituary for Jon Huras
Huras, Jon William:
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 at Innisfree House, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66.
Predeceased by his parents Orval and Ruby and brothers Douglas and Paul.
Survived by his sons Chris and Tim of Kitchener.
Jon enjoyed his church activities including singing in the church choir.
He lived « Just for Today » sharing his wisdom, experience, strength and hope with many friends in numerous 12 step programs.
Friends and family can pay respects at Hope Lutheran Church (30 Shaftsbury Dr. Kitchener) on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 12:30-1:15 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m.
Interment at Parkview Cemetery, reception to follow in the church hall after the committal.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. John’s Soup Kitchen via The Working Centre or Innisfree House as appreciation for their amazing love and care for our community would be appreciated
