Edna Vautour
1922-2017
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Edna Vautour,
95, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by
family, at La Villa Maria, Saint-Louis on Friday, October
13th, 2017. Born in Acadieville, she was the
daughter of the late Placide and Emma (Maillet) Henri. Before
retiring, Edna worked at the Caisse Populaire in Acadieville. She was
also very involved in her community; was a member of Le Club
d’Age d’Or d’Acadieville, was a member
of L’Institut féminin, was treasurer of the
Acadieville community centre and was on the parish committee.
Edna will be sadly missed by her five daughters,
Rita Doiron (Roger) of Moncton, Claudette Bordage (Roger) of
Acadieville, Dorice Daigle (Yvon) of Dieppe, Marcia Martin (Telex),
Murielle Martin (Normand) both of Saint-Louis; her son, Claude
Vautour; 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and three great
great
grandchildren.
Edna also leaves to mourn her sister Rita Bordage
(Louis) of Moncton; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Edna is predeceased by her
husband, Amédée; two daughters, Marie and Eva;
son, Célime; three sisters, Marie, Lorraine and Marguerite;
and four brothers, Alyre, Edouard, Elie and
Laurie.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Memorial Home, Saint-Louis on Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm
and Tuesday from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral
Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October
17th, 2017 at 11:00am, Immaculée
Conception Roman Catholic Church, Acadieville. If so desired,
donations in Edna’s memory made to the Immaculée
Conception Parish cemetery would be
appreciated.
