Eric James Lee
Long time resident of Weston, Ontario
Passed away peacefully in his 90th year on September 13, 2017. Devoted and loving husband and partner in life of Helen (nee Lawrence) who predeceased him in 2012. Devoted father of Bruce (Jane), Alan (Ida), Jon (Robyn), Graham (predeceased in 2012) (Mary), and Gregory (predeceased in 1956). Loving son of George Henry and Kathleen, and brother of Shirley (Cliff). Eric felt great joy with his grandchildren Kerri (Kevin), Mark (Kelly), Ben (Shiho), Alan Jr. (Kathy), Steven (Amanda), Robert, Gregory, Christopher, Garrett, Jessica, Rebecca, Olivia, and Jenna. Proud great grandfather to 13 great grandchildren. Eric was a successful commercial artist with a career as Art Director with Simpson’s Sears and Canadian Tire Corporation. Eric worked for many years with Helen as members of the Auxiliary at Humber Memorial Hospital, managing the gift shop. Eric was also an active member and the archivist-historian of Central United Church, where he was married to Helen in 1948. The family would like to sincerely thank all of Eric’s caregivers including the physicians and nurses at Humber River Hospital. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday September 17th from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 1 King St., Weston, on Monday, September 18th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Central United Church Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
