Robert Hector Cummings
1935-2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Robert Hector Cummings at W.G Bishop Nursing Home on September 2,
2017. Born on February 20, 1935, in Inverness County, NS, he was the
son of the late Gregory and Lillian (King) Cummings.
Robert is survived by his wife, Violet Cummings (Howe); sons,
Rockland, Michael (Ann), and Wayne (Cynthia) Cummings; daughters,
Debbie St. Thomas (Danny), Shelly McKiel (Brian), Darlene Richard
(Michael), and Wanda Vail (Regan). Robert will also be missed by his
24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews, especially Debbie
LeBlanc.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his
sister, Mary Thomas and two grandchildren, Trish-Ann Vail and Kevin
Cummings.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at the Oromocto
Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at the Preston Carr Cemetery. For those who
wish, donations in Roberts’s memory can be made to the NB
Lung Association.
