Obituary for Sheila O’Brien
November 2, 1919 – August 28, 2017
Passed away peacefully on August 28 at Queens Avenue Retirement Home in Oakville just two months shy of her 98th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Jack Bedford, mother of Paul Bedford (Eugenia) of Toronto and Heather Harding (Robert) of Hamilton. Grandmother of Mark Harding (Jonalyn) Pamela Harding and Stephen Bedford, Great-grandmother of Carson and Quinn Harding, Madison and Ben Randall. She grew up in Toronto, married her high school sweetheart and lived a full life in Oakville as a loving homemaker. Widowed at the age of 43, she was a strong woman who raised her two children and took great pride in her work as a secretary in the Halton Public School system. She found love later in life with the late Larry O’Brien and they enjoyed many happy years together. She was the first resident of the Queens Avenue Retirement Home in Oakville where she made many friends over the past 18 years. The family wishes to thank the devoted staff of Queens Avenue for their loving care. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, at 1056 Queens Avenue Retirement Home, Oakville on Wednesday September 27, 2017.
