Shirley Beck
1935-2017
REXTON,
NB – Shirley Beck 82, of Rexton passed away peacefully at
the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Friday, August 18,
2017. Born in St. Martin’s, she was the daughter
of the late John Cairns and late Edith (Yeomans) Cairns.
Shirley was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Rexton
and was the treasurer for over 40 years.
Shirley
will be sadly missed by her daughter, Darcy LeBlanc (Stephen) of
Rexton; her son, Byron Beck (Rhonda) of Saint John and grandchildren,
Jacob Beck and Morgan LeBlanc.
She is
also survived by three sisters, Barb Sweet (late Clifford), Patsy
Perry (Donald), Valerie Cairns (Bob) all of Saint John; one brother,
John Cairns (Gene) of Willow Grove; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bosco of
Saint John and many nieces and nephews.
She will
also be sadly missed by Dan Roberts, whom she loved like a son, Tracy
Comeau (Robert), whom she loved like a daughter and their children,
Crystal, Mathew and Aliyah.
Besides
her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Beck and two
sisters, Deanna and Jackie.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home in Richibucto on Monday from 7-9 pm, Tuesday at
1:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Service will be
held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm, Thompson’s
Funeral Home Chapel,Richibucto, NB officiated by
Reverend Christopher Ketch. Donations in Shirley’s
memory may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke
Foundation. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
