METZNER
It is with sad hearts, our family announces the passing of Wolfgang (Wolf) Richard Metzner, unexpectedly in the Philippines on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
Wolf was born in Germany on February 10, 1945. He worked as a Baker for many years, retiring from Safeway in 2006.
Wolf is survived by his mother Kathe Metzner as well as his sisters Chris Wreszczak (John), Renate Fournier (Rick), Shirley Otholt (Dave), Sylvia Metzner (Alfredo); his brother Rick Metzner; his daughter Robin Stout (Steven); and daughter in law Renee Metzner. He is also survived by his grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Wolf was predeceased by his wife Donna; son Derrick Metzner; sister Monika Goldring; sister Gloria Metzner and his father Richard Metzner.
To respect Wolf’s wishes, no service will be held. Should friends so desire, donations can be made in memory of Wolf to Canadian Hearing Society, Thunder Bay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
