Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Jerzy Krukowski announces his passing on July 10, 2017 at the age of 94.
He is survived by his loving wife, Matilda of 66 years; son, Chris (Susan); daughter, Kathy (Tony) and four grandsons: Clayton (Bethany), Connor (Justine), Cory and Randy.
He is predeceased by his father, Franciszek and mother, Bronislawa; brother, Leonard and sister Lala.
He is survived by one sister, Dr. Helena Krukowski in Poland, as well as 2 brothers-in law, 4 sisters-in law, many nephews and nieces who were a large part of his life and meant so much to him.
Jerzy was a World War II veteran and fought with the Polish Army at the battle of Monte Casino where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was an active member of the Polish Combatants No. 6 in Edmonton. He immigrated to Canada in 1948, worked at a number of jobs; coal miner, cement finisher and retiring after many years as a Foreman in a pipe manufacturing company.
He will be dearly missed for his generous ways, wonderful sense of humour and commitment to his family.
