It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Erma Johnstone Scrimgeour on May 28, 2017 at the age of 79, after many courageous battles with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Murray Scrimgeour, loving mother of Glen (Josée Berthiaume) and the late Scott (Janet Cassini). She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Stephanie, Meghan, Corey, James and Kaitlyn, as well as many other relatives and friends.
The visitation will take place at Armstrong-Rideau Funeral Home, 1640 Côte-Vertu, St-Laurent, H4L 2A2, on Friday June 2nd, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday June 3rd at 10 a.m., followed by the burial at Les Jardins Urgel Bourgie (Montreal Memorial Park) in St-Laurent.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Erma’s memory to the West Island Palliative Care Residence (wiprc.ca, 514-693-1718) or to the Cedars Cancer Foundation c/o Dr. Bouganim Medical Oncology Research and Care Fund (cedars.ca, 514-656-6662) would be appreciated.
We would like to express our gratitude to the many the doctors, nurses, PAB’s, other staff members and volunteers of the Cedars Cancer Center and the West Island Palliative Care Residence Pavillon Stillview, for the excellent care provided to Erma and her family.
