The family announces with sorrow her death on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at Extendicare at the age of 88. She is survived by her children Deborah Sampson, George Hursley and Shelley Warne, her grandchildren Lindsay Cumming, Chad Sampson, Erin-Dallas Kedroski and Venessa Collins, her great-grandchildren Mareena, Rowan, Brody, Kylee, McKinley and Emilia. Predeceased by her parents Warren and Katherine Blanchard, her first husband Bill Hursley (1976) and her second husband Robert Maxwell (1985). Doreen worked at Canadian Tire for more than 25 years. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards games, singing and baking with them.
The family will receive friends on Friday July 7, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at

Respecting her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery will follow. Remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.
