Harold Alward
1922-2017
Harold William Alward ,94, of Fawcett Hill passed
away peacefully Tuesday evening June 13, 2017 at the Jordan Lifecare
Center with family at his side. Born in Canaan he was a son of the
late William and Jennie (Fowler) Alward. Harold was a self employed
respected farmer and lumberman and enjoyed playing and
singing old country songs with his daughter Wendy. He was a member of
the Havelock Wesleyan Church.
Survived and sadly missed by his daughter Wendy
Corey, Tavistock ON., his son Larrie (Lucinda) of Fawcett Hill,
grandchildren Margaret Smith (Mike), Mark Corey, Teri Corey (Steve),
Kimberley Corey, Matthew Corey (Katie), Sandy Bailie (Joe), Steven
Will (Wendi), Wayne Will (Lisa), Aaron Alward (Krista); 23 great
grandchildren. Survived also by sisters Alta Burgess (Tom) and
Marguerite Corey (late Warren); sisters in law Beatrice Alward and
Jean Alward and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved
wife Margaret , son in law Tom Corey and brothers Lester, Donald and
Billy.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home
3350 Route 106 (372-4800), from where visitation will take place
Thursday June 15th from 6-9 and funeral in the chapel Friday, June
16th at 3pm with Rev. Glen McVicar Offciating. Interment at
the Havelock Wesleyan Cemetery.
