The family announces with sorrow his death on Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Sylvia (nee Pickard), his children Iain Martin (Mireille) of Timmins, Alan Martin (Martine) of Australia, Clive Martin (Melanie) of Edmonton, Suna Martin (Rob) of Timmins and Alyson Antonio (Lordenio) of Pickering, his grandchildren Emanuelle and Jeremi, Kristina, Daniel and Tom, Mackenzie and Narisse, Emily and Brandon, his siblings William (Jean) of Rockwood, ON, Margaret (Peter) of Scotland, and John (Irene) of B.C., his in-laws Christie (Gordon) and Wilfrid (Moira), all of U.K. Predeceased by his parents, his sister-in-law Diana and his brother-in-law Fritz.
James’ work as an architect includes schools, houses, buildings as well 42 churches throughout the province. He also enjoyed painting and sketching, particularly area mines.
A memorial service at St Matthews Cathedral will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with
