Mr. Gordon Cunningham of 51 Queen St, Sussex, NB passed away at the
Sussex Health Centre on May 14th, 2017. Born in Sussex, NB on February
15, 1933, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Bertha (Doucette)
Cunningham.
Survived by his wife Freda (Lisson) Cunningham; his daughter Karen
Colpitts and her husband Ralph of Marshall Hill; his brother Murray
Cunningham of Sussex; his grandson Dominick Colpitts and his wife Erin
of Mount Middleton and their two sons: Austin & Blake; his
granddaughter Darcie Jonah and her husband Mitchell of Norton and
their three sons: Micah, Eli, and Luke; his granddaughter Denise
Colpitts and her partner Christa of Saint John; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
Gordon was predeceased by his brothers: Harold, Sterling, Buster and
Kenneth; and by his sister Marjorie Meehan.
Gordon was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20. He was
retired from Stiles Plumbing and Heating Sussex.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Sussex Select Community
Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB (506) 433-2133. There will be
no visitation as per Gordon’s request.
The funeral service will be held on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11:00 am
with Jeanette Cosman presiding in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.

would be appreciated by the family.
