Mrs. Bernadette Briand – Rockdale NS
BRIAND Bernadette Margaret 69, Rockdale , died Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Strait Richmond Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late May and Nelson Levy.
Bernadette was employed most of her life as seamstress and enjoyed spending her spare time crafting. She was a caring and empathic person and you could always count on her to listen, whenever you had a problem. She was happiest spending time with her friends playing BINGO or trying her luck on a VLT.
She is survived by her loving husband Clarance sons Scott (Amy) Beckman, Millville; Deni Letarte, Halifax; daughters Jennifer (Darrell) Sampson, Upper Stewiacke; Rachel (Will) Letarte, Sydney Mines; step daughter Lisa (Joey Murphy) Briand, Halifax; step son Clarance Briand, St. Peters; grandchildren Daniel, Nicholas, Kyle, Melody, Dylon, Keeley, Elizabeth, Danielle and Michelle; sisters Mary Ann, Theresa and Linda.
Bernadette was predeceased by her sister May Walkden and brother Francis Levy.
Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, L’Ardoise with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding, burial at a later date.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
