Obituary for Thomas Cathro
Thomas Charles Cathro was born July 30, 1928 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Assiniboine Center in Brandon, Manitoba.
Thomas is survived by his three children Tim Cathro (Sandy), Rob Cathro (Marsha) and Ann Cathro (Mike); ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Carleen Cathro, son Thomas Charles Jr and son Donald Richard Bruce. Thomas served 28 years in the military doing what he loved best, taking care of others. This is my father’s quote. « I gave the best years of my life, for my country, because I believed in what we were doing, which was to protect those who could not protect themselves ». Our father was an amazing man and we will miss you Always and Forever Dad, we love you. A Come and Go Memorial Reception will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a time of reflection at 11:30 a.m. Donations in memory of Thomas may be made to the Salvation Army, 9 Princess Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 1R8.
