Naida Ilean Gregory, 89, of Union Street, Westville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Anda (MacDonald) MacNeil.
In her early working years, she worked at Thompson and Sutherland’s, and with the service department of Maritime Tel and Tel, New Glasgow. Later, she and her husband Bob, operated Gregory’s Hardware in Westville. Naida is a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Westville and the Ladies Auxiliary. Naida was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by son Rob, at home; daughter Melinda Currie (Paul), Stratford, PEI; grand-daughter Sarah Currie; brother-in-law Fred Livingston, Thorburn, niece Tena MacLellan (Paul), Thorburn.
Naida was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” and sister Joyce Livingston.
There will be no visitation. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock on Sunday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westville Library or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Westville.
