Douglas Arthur Spence
Douglas « Doug » Spence, 66, of Moncton, passed away
suddenly at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Born
in Bayfield, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary (Beck)
Spence.
Doug was a proud and passionate family man who always put his
families and friends needs above his own. His second love was his job,
where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for 45 years – over 20
of them with Modern Enterprises of Moncton.
Doug will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 38
years, Sherry (Fields) Spence; sons, Nicholas Spence (Karine) of
Dieppe and Kyle Spence (Chantal) of Moncton; cherished grandson, Ayden
Douglas Spence; brothers, Worthen Spence (Irma), Gordon Spence
(Doreen) and Lysle Spence (Norma) and many nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honor Doug’s life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:30 pm with
William Drysdale, DLM officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service.
