Bud, 87 years, of Regina, SK, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Regina. He was born in Vancouver on January 5, 1930. During his elementary school years he lived in a logging camp near Campbell River on Vancouver Island, and in Vancouver. Bud had his first jobs hawking newspapers on a Vancouver street corner and delivering for a butcher and a pharmacy on his bicycle. He moved with his parents and brother to Regina when he was thirteen, where he attended Scott Collegiate. Here he developed a great love for sport, excelling at basketball, lacrosse, track and field, badminton and boxing. After high school, Bud attended Royal Rhodes University in Victoria and then returned to Regina to attend Regina College. It was there that Bud met the love of his life, Sallie Mutchmor. Bud and Sallie were married on December 27, 1952, and together they went on to raise six sons. Bud started his professional career as a land surveyor working for the Prairie Land Rehabilitation Administration and Mobile Oil. In the late 1950s he started McDonald Surveys and Prairie Land Services. He was hired as the initial Land Manager for SaskOil in 1973. In the mid-1980s he returned to private business, starting Condor Petroleum and later, Target Resources. In 1995 he and Sallie built a new family home in Buena Vista and retired to Last Mountain Lake. Bud will always be remembered by family and friends for his kind and generous soul, his wit and sense of humor, and most of all, his unconditional love and support of his family. Robert was predeceased by his father Donald, his mother Eveline and his brother Earle. He is survived by wife, Sallie; sons and daughters-in-law Bruce and Kim, Glenn and Gail, Wayne, Keith and Marie, Grant and Margie, and Brent and Kim; grandchildren Alice, Melissa, Devon, Damien, Stephen, Kurtis, James, Kate, Robert, Christina, Leanne, Graham, and Aidan; great-grandchildren Bailey, Hannah, Jakob, Oliver, Connor, and Logan; John Mutchmor, Joy Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
