Obituary of Kevin Mulhall
Passed away peacefully with his mother by his side at the Monarch Home, Waterloo on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 55 years.
Loving son of Anne (Betty) and the late Richard Mulhall. Dear brother of Denis (Suzanne Gauthier) and Elaine Sweeney (Stephen). Fondly remembered by his nephew John (Jack) Sweeney. Kevin will be missed by his special friends and housemates Lynn, Kathy and Michele.
Kevin was a beautiful and charming soul. During his life, he truly had a positive impact on everyone he met on his journey. Kevin led a very enriched life, he was a Special Olympics champion bowler and swimmer. Kevin was a strong lover of ice caps, good music, classic movies and had his favorite scheduled television shows. When Kevin wasn’t busy with his active social life, he was selflessly giving back to his community and volunteering with the Kitchener/Waterloo food bank. Kevin participated in a work placement with KW habilitation services and was a valued employee of Home Depot for many years.
Kevin was a much loved member of the Parents for Community Living Family, where he was supported for over twenty years. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks from the bottom of their hearts to Kevin’s Monarch Home staff; for their exceptional and loving care over the years, especially during his end of life stages.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Kevin with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 3:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Reception will follow in the parish hall.
