Age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Louis Brier Home. He was born April 3, 1924 in Moscow, Russia to Elena Brun and Mikhail Kolesnikov.
Nikolai was a graduate of the Moscow Theatrical Arts Institute, where he developed his love for singing, theater, and the arts. After moving to Vancouver in 1982, he quickly established himself as one of the city’s most distinguished vocal coaches.
Nikolai will be remembered by his efforts to improve the lives of those around him. He was compassionate, had a great sense of humor, loved telling stories, and was a devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife, Raissa Kolesnikov; daughter, Elena Osadchy; and grandson, Sasha Osadchy.
He will be missed by his friends, students, and family, whose lives he has deeply impacted. May his soul rest in peace.
