Joyce Marie Galbraith (nee Anderson)
1933-2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Marie
Galbraith (nee Anderson), wife of the late Norman A. Galbraith
announces her passing, which occurred on November 24, 2016.
Born in Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Inez
(Philpitt) Anderson.
Joyce was the light in many people’s lives and was
always there for everyone. She loved spending time with her
family and will be greatly missed by all.
Joyce is survived by three sons, Frank (Janice), Gregory
(Brenda) and Ronald (Ruby); three daughters, Maureen (Dana), Donna
(Malcolm) and Tanya (Danny); 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jody, Sherri,
Heather, Jeremy, David, Lindsay, Melissa, Erin, Whitney, Sara and
Gregory; 12 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Austin, Quentin, Ava, Aryauna,
Lauren, Knox, Preston, Caleb, Liam, Sadie and Samantha; as well as
several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and
husband, she was also predeceased by her grandson, Brandon Lyon;
brother, Frank and sister, Marion.
In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service
will take place at Lorneville Cemetery. Arrangements are
under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay
View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint
John (634-7425).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Lorneville
United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
