Hennigar, Barbara Hoegg, of Stellarton, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born March 16, 1952 in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of Marguerite “Margie” (Hoegg) Fraser and the late Robert “Bert” Fraser of West River Station.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 42 years Bill, and their children David, Calgary and Abigail “Abbi”, Halifax. She is also survived by her sisters Rosalie (Serge) Lavoie, Ottawa and Cathy (Jack) Lewis, New Glasgow; brothers Robert “Rob” Fraser, West River Station, John Fraser (Kelly), Coldbrook; Glen Fraser (Kim), Durham; Eldred Fraser (Lori), Berwick; and Derek Fraser (Helen), Berwick; sister-in-law Kathy MacNaughton, Westville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Bert and brother David Fraser, as well as her in-laws Jim and Gladys Hennigar.
Her family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Aberdeen Hospital E.R. and Fourth Floor, Oncology Dept, and Palliative Care Units, as well as Dr. Jeans, Dr. Younis, Dr. Craig, and Dr. Kwasnik.
Her family will receive visitors on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gairloch with Bonnie Langille and Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gairloch, or a charity of one’s choice.
