Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Dave, lovingly referred to as our “Miracle Man”, announce his passing on November 17th at the age of 71 years, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Dave will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his wife, Bev of 48 years; Daughters: Shelly (Steve) and Tara (Ryan); adored Grandchildren: Max, Zach, Delaney and Evan. Dave was the 3rd eldest of 7 children and is now joyfully reunited with his parents and his elder Brother, Wally.
Throughout his journey, Dave was shown tremendous love, support and compassion by so many. We wish to offer special thanks to his younger Brother, Tim & Chantal, Linda & Dale, Lori & Gino, Diann & Paul and his beloved nephew Patty. Dave spent the last few months of his journey at Foyer Lacombe, where he amazed those around him with his resilience, positivity and appreciation. To his private caregivers, Amin & Robin, words cannot express our sincere gratitude. Robin, you aptly described Dave when you stated you would miss his gentle and bright face.
Dave’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him his best for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, love for his family and desire to put other people first.
Dave was a selfless and humble man and has requested no funeral.
A Celebration of his amazing life will be held in the ensuing months. For details, Tara can be contacted at tara@drivingmissdaisy.net.
