Obituary
On October 22, 2016, Laura Ouimet- Iseke of Sturgeon County, Alberta passed away at the age of 95 years.
Laura was third of 12 siblings born to Polydore (Paul) and Henriette Boivin January 16, 1921 in Baie St. Paul, Manitoba. She is survived by her brothers Oscar Boivin (Qualicum Beach, BC), and Leo Boivin (Brandon, Mb), and her sisters Janette Quesnelle and Millie Dell (Thunder Bay, On).
On January 4, 1944, Laura married Hilaire Ernest Ouimet, who predeceased her on May 6, 1977. They were blessed to have five children – three boys and two girls: Ernest Ouimet (Toronto, On), Laurette Ouimet-Brenneis (deceased August 2014), Lucille Landals (Onoway, Ab), Albert Ouimet (Campbell River, BC) and Paul- Emile Ouimet (Onoway, Ab). Laura married again to August Iseke of Morinville, Ab., with whom she spent eight years, before his death in June 1994.
Laura was grand-mere to eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Please join us in celebrating her life at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Villeneuve, AB. Reception following the Mass will be at West Country Hearth from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
A private family Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the West Country Hearth Foundation.
