Harris, Joan Margaret, passed away peacefully on Oct 24 in the Dartmouth General Hospital with her daughter Joanne and Mario by her side. Born July 12, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian Blaxland. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she loved spending time and doing things for her family.
Joan is survived by her daughters Joanne (Mario) Lemire, Linda (Alan) Bennett, sons; Derek (Sheilah), John (Robin); six grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister; Jean (Duncan) Kennedy as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Joan is pre deceased by her loving husband Arthur Clifford Harris.
A funeral service will be held on Friday Oct 28, at the Atlantic Funeral Homes Dartmouth Chapel, 771, main Street Dartmouth at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Vance S. Arbeau officiating.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Doctor Richard Warren and the nursing staff in the Dartmouth General Hospital 4 East.
