Mr. John Henry Landry – Sampsonville
LANDRY John Henry 82, Sampsonville passed away Friday October 7, 2016 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sampsonville , he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Dorothy “Dot” (Burke) Landry.
For over 27 years John was employed as a server at the MacBouch Beverage Room , St. Peters; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing darts with his family and friends but especially enjoyed cheering on the his favorite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
He is survived by his wife Marlene (Mills) Landry, son Daniel “Danny”, daughters Cindy and Sandra (Mike) all of Sampsonville; grandson Tyler, whom enjoyed many summers in Samsposnville with his grandfather; brothers Luke (Norma), Halifax; Gordon (Sandra), St. Peters; sisters Shirley (Clifford) Carter, Sampsonville; Pauline “Polly”(Charlie) Fougere, French Cove; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brothers Keats and Clarence, sisters Olga Burke, and Genevieve “Veva” Stone.
Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 10:30 am from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, St. Peters with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding, burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawesbury.
